In the event of an accident, first make sure that you and all passengers are out of harm's way.
If you need medical assistance and you are in Europe, just dial 112 and the operator will transfer your call to the police, ambulance or fire brigade as appropriate; if you are outside Europe make sure you have the emergency telephone numbers of your destination with you so that you can contact them quickly.
We suggest then exchanging your personal info in order to record the accident with all the people involved. If, for example, you hit a parked car and the owner is not present, leave a note with your personal details and contacts on the windshield of the car involved.
If possible, take photos of the scene of the accident and write down more details such as the colour, type and model of all the vehicles involved, date and time of the accident, weather conditions, the state of the road and the lighting present, any damage caused to vehicles or property and any injuries sustained by drivers, passengers and pedestrians.
At this point, contact the car rental company using the contact details you find in the voucher in order to receive the necessary assistance and all the instructions on what to do.
Don't forget that Amaka is always with you! Even in these situations, we are available to provide you with all the necessary assistance. Contact our support team through the different contact channels available in the Customer Support section.
