Yes, a security deposit will be required upon collection of the car to cover any damage. The deposit amount will be temporarily blocked or charged to the main driver's credit card for the duration of the rental. When you return the car, your deposit will be unlocked or refunded (usually within 7 working days), as long as the car is in its original condition.
Upon collection you will also have to pay for any extras requested for your trip such as, for example, GPS, child seats or additional drivers. The staff may also offer you extra insurance coverage that you can decide whether or not to purchase.

Please note that there may be other costs which vary according to the rental location, the age of the drivers and other factors. Here are some examples: government tax, local taxes, one way tax, credit card fees, winter tax, young driver tax, senior driver tax, after hours service, roadside assistance, mileage, and cross border travel tax.
